We had a great Easter day. We woke up to find the Easter Bunny had come by and left treats, then we headed to church. The service started with a a beautiful song called "Take Me to the Cross" which was set to scenes from "The Passion" movie. I forgot how intense the imagery of what Christ went through for me and us was. It was pretty emotional and I just wanted to make sure that I keep Easter in perspective. The bunnies and cute dresses are fun and we should celebrate the Resurrection with joy, but 3 days before that Resurrection, Jesus suffered the unthinkable to save me. What have I done with that knowledge? Not enough.
I'm putting up some pics of the girls all dressed up and finding their baskets. I hope we can have the wisdom to instill in them what Easter really is and keep the balance appropriate.
I love love love Carolina's hat! What a cutie! And the bunny ears on Cassidy, precious! I am glad that you guys had a great Easter...we did here as well...still finding it hard to truly keep my eyes on the cross when having a little one to chase after, still working on that one..man is it hard to be a mom sometimes! Love you!
