Bye Bye Paci Party

We had to stay in from Church today, Mommy can't shake this allergy stuff. It has drained me this time. I just thought I would update on Lina and the paci loss. We buried, or I should say planted, it yesterday and she thought it was a great idea , at the time. We had balloons and cupcakes, she was very excited and saying "bye bye paci". However, come bed time, she clearly had missed the concept. It wasn't too bad though. She cried for it about 10 min. Then she settled. It did take her longer to fall asleep, as her nap today did also. But, she did it and I think she knows its gone now. Yeah!!! Kind of sad too though, my baby is growing up.

Yummy Cereal

Cassidy is getting much better at eating her cereal. She likes the oatmeal, thank goodness.

We've had a light week, went to playgroup this morning, then ate at McD's and shopped at Walmart for a few minutes. I think they have finally completed the remodel. It's really nice and maybe now I can relearn where everything is, for a while it changed every day.

We have a plan this week to plant a "paci plant". We have to get rid of Lina's paci and told her we are going to plant it in the ground and watch it grow a plant. Be praying for this transition, the plan is to do this Saturday and we'll celebrate with cupcakes and maybe a balloon! I'll blog on it I'm sure.

Pajama Stories

Each night at 8:00 there was Pajama Story Time at the clock tower. The animals would sing, then someone would tell a story and then Wiley the Wolf would come out for a visit. Lina loves big stuffed animals, so Wiley was a hit.
This video is of Lina wanting us to chase her, every time we went into the hall she had to run and loved for us to chase her.

Wipeout

Carolina loved the waterpark. They have a neat toddler area with some small slides and sprinklers. She was scared of the slides at first, but quickly decided she loved them, by the last day, she was climbing the steps and getting on them herself. Once when I was helping her get on one, she was really scared. I told her she didn't have to, we could go back down the stairs. She just looked at me and said, "I'll try it". What a brave girl.
This video is Lance trying to get across the little bitty obstacle course. He kept saying there was nothing to it, and , well, just watch. By the way, this was his 3rd try.

Great Wolf Lodge

We had a great time this week at Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City. If you haven't been, GO! We got there in just about 4 hours, so it's not too far. They upgraded our room as a courtesy to the Kids Cabin room . You can see in the pictures that there is a "cabin" right in the room with it's on tv and bunk beds. Lina LOVED it, she slept in it all by herself. We went at a good time, Tues and Wed we basically had the place to ourselves it felt like. There were very few people there, but by Thursday evening and Friday you could tell it was a holiday weekend! So, go through the week. The place has an indoor water park, so we just hopped on the elevator and went right to the fun. No sunscreen, no heat, just fun and when your tired, just walk back to your room. I love those kind of places! I'll blog some more pictures throughout the week, and stay tuned for a hilarious clip of Lance trying the "wipeout" style obstacle course.

Happy Birthday to Nana

We wanted to wish Nana (my mom) a happy birthday today!. I didn't get to make a video, we've all been sick. We do want to wish you a great day and that you are feeling better too. You're the best Mom and Nana in the world. We love you.

Popsicle Juice

Lina loves to share freezer pops with her Daddio. (He loves it more than she does). Their favorite part is the juice at the end. To get the juice Lina has to give her Daddy a kiss before he gets the juice. They love this time together.

Catching Up

The girls in their matching shirts. This was about the best pic I could catch.
Dressing up Elmo

Cassidy
Cassidy is pretty sick the past couple of days, so I havn't been at the computer much at all. She is really stuffed up so she can't sleep good . She and I have been up at night a good bit, she slept better last night, but I didn't because she was snoring so loud, bless her heart. I think she is somewhat better today.

It's Great to Be a Mother

We had a great Mother's Day. Lina made me a card in Sunday school. We didn't get to do Cassidy's Dedication service because Lance was on a business trip. That was a bummer, but he did get home earlier than he originally thought, so we at least got to see him before bed time. I got a really nice digital photo frame. Thanks bobo! We also got to celebrate with our neighbors and had a great time eating tacos.

Getting Crafty

We made flowers for Mother's Day out of strips of magazine paper. They are really easy, just string them on a pipe cleaner and put a button in the middle. If anyone wants specific instructions, just let me know.
Lina actually did one all by herself!

This is my "button art". I stole the idea from a piece of art in Pottery Barn Kids. I simply painted canvas and glued on buttons. Lina now goes in her room and sees them and says, "Wow!" You'd think it was the Mona Lisa.

This was the sky this morning at 7:15 a.m., all we got was a short rain though.

Bouncer Fun

Today we ventured out to town, I made my first 3-stop outing with the girls. We went to Chic-fil-a, Target and the P.O. They did fine, mostly. There was a little girl in Chic-fil-A playing with Lina on the playground. She decided she had wet her diaper and didn't like it, so she just took off her pants and diaper, then slid her naked bottom all over the slide and equipment. Her grandmother came running in and she wouldn't come down, so up goes Granny to get her. It was funny, except that I couldn't get Lina to come down either, so she probably was playing in PeePee! I sanitized her when she got back down. We actually saw the sun and a bit of blue sky for a few precious minutes this morning too. Thank you Lord! I got this action on the bouncer with Cassidy just now and thought it was so funny. She just figured out she can bounce herself and she thought it was quite funny.

Crawfish Boil

While we were home, we went to my brother's house. He had a crawfish and shrimp boil. Carolina was not scared at all to hold a crawfish or to eat one. Her Daddy was to chicken to eat one, but she wanted more, more!

That's my niece, Alyssa watching her.
