Sunday our baby turned 3 years old! We had a big party at the Pumpkin Patch and it went great. It was showing an 80% chance of rain Sat. so we started praying and our prayers were answered. It barely sprinkled on Sunday, praise the Lord. We had a great time, although Lina was a bit overwhelmed I think. She got tons of great toys and art supplies. I made her cake, it took all day Friday. It turned out alright, although the icing was purple, on the way to the Pumpkin Patch it turned blue. I had it in my lap in the sun. In the time it took to go into Walgreen's and use the potty, I came back out and noticed the hot pink letters were now light pink, then as I took in the whole picutre, I notice the whole cake had turned blue. Oh, well, the table cloth was blue so, it looked fine. Just remember that.
That night we ended up going to the state fair. We were tired, but Lina rode a few rides. We went through the Sugar Art show displays and I got to see some of the Food Network Challange people. If you ever watch the cake competitions, you will know them. I actually got to meet Bronwen Weber, thanks to Lance literaly pushing me into her. He stopped her and said, "my wife wants to meet you". She smiled and said nice to meet you. I asked a quick question then let her go, she was trying to get out of there I think. I only saw the other guys from a distance.

Well, I never heard of a cake changing colors right before your eyes! It surely is a pretty cake - you did a great job! It will be a birthday to remember in more ways than one. By the way, I noticed Cassidy has a sweater/hat set. Where did you get it? Cute cute.
