Carolina's Package

Today we were talking about going to the mailbox to see if our new headbands came in and then we heard the doorbell. It was UPS with a mysterious box. Not the headbands, but a special package from China. Our friends Laura and Clark sent Lina a real Chinese dress. Lina loved it and is still wearing as I type. It just fits Laura, so she can wear it for a while, but Chinese kids probably don't have the little pot belly that my kids have.
Lina also made me laugh today. I was telling her to be easy with throwing the ball and she said, "adagio". It took me a minute, but I realized she had learned that adagio means slow in musical terms (Little Einstiens). Don't ever say that kids are not influenced by t.v. She soaks it all up. A few minutes later, I was saying "let me think" and she starts singing the Pooh song, in a very Southern twang, "thank, thank, thank". Ok, so is she watching too much t.v. or just learning everything she hears?

  2. I love love love the dress! You are right, it does fit just perfect...when Clark picked it out, he said it was supposed to fit a 4 year old! :) I guess we just grow them bigger in America! :) You will have to tell Lina that Clark picked it out just for her, the color and all :) Thanks so much for posting the pictures, can't wait for Clark to see the cutest girl in the world :)
