Who Were You in High School

It is so funny that this question came up. I was just thinking a few days ago that I couldn't have imagined my life much the way it is now. In school I was in band (we had a big, well traveled band, so it was more cool than geeky). I was a good student, a "goody two-shoes" to quote my friends. I thought I was strong, independent, didn't want to get married and sure didn't want any kids. Ha, ha, now I'm a mother and housewife. I was VP of Students for Christ, in all sorts of clubs, did everything I could at church and hated to have to graduate. I loved high school. I thought I would go to college and get some great job. I never was happy with any career choice and the older I got the less confidence I had that I could do anything "big". I know now that I was just in waiting to be who I am. I love it. I did marry my school sweetheart. He is still my sweetheart and my "earthly"rock. Thank the Lord who can see the big picture.
Now you can read about what other "housewives" were in high school.

  1. Being a great band is the bomb!!!! I would have loved to be on the drill team. not a flag girl but one of the rifle corps. But no my mind was on boys.

  2. Great post Jodie! I can totally see you that way in high school.

I'm so glad I didn't go the path that I was headed down and went the path God pushed me on. Haha! He always knows best.

Thanks for participating this week with us!

  3. Loved your post - and I'm thrilled someone else loved high school!
Isn't it surprising how life doesn't always turn out the way we expect it to. I love how God prepares us and leads us down our intended paths.
Thanks for linking up with the RHOK!
