Purplicious Snow Day!

What a fun day at home in the snow! The freezing rain started yesterday afternoon and there is a good layer of ice on the ground. Then the snow started last night off and on I guess. It has been snowing now for a few hours today. We've probably got about 2 inces so far on top of our ice. It's really pretty. So, today I happened to have a cake mix and Lina has been asking to make some Purplicious cupcakes. So we did. Yummy. For those who havn't read Pinkalicious, you should, we made pink cupcakes with that book after Lina fell in love with it. They now have the book Purplicious and Goldilicious (havn't read it yet). It's not about cupcakes, but we needed an excuse to make them purple.

Good Times

I just thought I would share some pictures of the girls curled up together watching a video. I thought it was cute, but a fleeting moment. They love each other so much, but drive each other crazy too. Carolina has really been loving on her "booger bear" lately. She just hugs her, kisses her, smells her (????). She'll say, "I love my booger bear". They make each other laugh and giggle just for fun. Everyone told me I would love to see their relationship develop and I do. I just hope there is more loving than hair pulling!

Here is a video of Cassidy learning from Carolina to brush her teeth. Watch carefully how she tries to spit.

Thinking of Haiti

The past several days I've felt so bad for Haiti, so guilty really. That we are so blessed and seemingly safe. Thank you God for your grace. I want to remember those hurting and meet the needs that I can. Mainly through prayer. I was just sharing with a blog friend that I went this week to get my scrapbook at Hobby Lobby. Not a great expense, but I kind of fought my Spirit telling me to wait and send that money to Haiti. I thought, it's only $15, we could still send money. But, when I got home, my Bible had literally fallen open. I knew God was showing me something. I picked it up and started reading. Guess what the passage was? "I was hungry and you fed me, I was naked and you clothed me...". Yep, and of course it goes on to say that those who see others in need and don't meet the need are going to Hell, just to paraphrase. So, the scrapbook stayed in the bag and back it went today. I want to send some money to them, I think I will go through the Southern Baptist Relief. They have a huge ministry, and I know that it will meet needs physically and spiritually.
Here is a link to their page if you want to give http://www.sbc.net/redirect.asp?ci=1009&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eimb%2Eorg%2Fmain%2Fnews%2Fdetails%2Easp%3FStoryID%3D8286%26LanguageID%3D1709. I hope it gets you there. Anyway, I am going to enjoy what I have been blessed with and remember to pray for those suffering.

Here are a couple of pictures of the girls all dressed up in new dresses on Sunday. They just looked so cute I thought.

Walking!

Well, Cassidy is cutting loose. She is walking much more than crawling the past couple of days. I'm posting a little video of her walking out and listen to her say "bye, bye" as she goes.
We just left her playgroup, so many babies. They always have fun.
On a side note, how about 24, anybody watching? After it got so liberally political last year, we debated on watching, but it has us hooked again. Seems more action packed this year. We'll see. Anyway, I'm off to get something accomplished while Cassidy is asleep, like reading my Bible and doing some laudry.

Here are a couple of videos to enjoy. It's so interesting to watch the learing process.

Bath Time!

They love to make each other giggle! Oh, the good times!

I can splash!
What are you doing sis?
Cassidy likes to try to drink out of the cups in the bathtub.
These girls are so much fun. I just caught these shots while they were playing in the tub. I like the lighting my new flash gave me! I now have trouble getting Cassidy to want to get out to. They love the tub. Thats much better than them not wanting to get in it.

Roll Tide, I Guess

Lina loves Abby!

For the big game, we went over to our neighbors. They have a huge TV and Lance didn't think ours was adequte. Of course he was the only real fan, so he had to yell by himself. He got quite pretty quickly as the game got off to a rocky start. Then the Tide showed up, and eventually won the game. The kids there were being entertained by Grandma Dorothy's dance lessons. That is what is on the video. There are more pics on our Facebook page.
