Today was the first day of school. She was a little nervous I could tell, but she was excited. She packed her backpack. Complete with Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, dinasours and Pooh. She wanted her special necklace and bracelets and wore them all day. When she got to school the teachers had fun sunglasses for them to wear. She didn't whine or anything, just kissed me and told me she loved me!
I then put on my big girl panties and took the car in for an oil change, lol. They told me I needed a tire rotation and I said we just got new tires 3 mos. ago, then I needed rear differential fluid, then he said we're over due for the 60K tune-up ($465), then he came in and said our battery is testing bad. Ha, I should just buy a new car! I left with only an oil change and he told me when I left that he rechecked the battery and that time it was fine, peculiar? Anyway, Me and Cassidy spent the day in Tulsa. We ate at Steak n Shake and spent a long time at Mardel Christian Store. Love that place! I could spend a fortune in books, videos and toys and thats just on the kids side. By the way, they've got tons of books for 2 for $5. And lots of $5 books and videos.Its inspired me to make Lina and Cassidy Halloween costumes of Bob and Larry (Veggie Tales). I told Lina and she was not too excited,but wouldn't they be cute. We'll see. It's been a good day.
I went to Mardel today too - I was laminating some stuff, so I guess I missed you! Glad Lina had a good day.
ReplyDeleteHow is she liking it? Camryn seems to be liking it okay. I think going three days is a little taxing on her, but she's getting the hang of it.
