This is how Carolina wanted to go to Wal-mart this morning. We were about to leave and she really wanted to wear her Chinese dress and these shoes, so I thought why not? I didn't think she'd still be able to get into it, she just grown taller, not bigger. She started running through the house singing "I'm a Chinese girl, I'm a Chinese girl!" She, of course, got lots of compliments and each time you could see how proud she was. She asked the sweet old door-greeter at Skiatook Wal-mart if he thought her dress was pretty. He said it was. It's funny how many conversations it started. The lady handing out samples loved it. She was from Hong-Kong and taught Lina the word they call it. I don't remember it of course. She gave the girls extra samples too because she thought they were so cute. Then on the way out a lady stopped us and told us how she had been able to bring Bibles into China years ago and tell them about Jesus. I told her that a missionary who lives in China sent her this dress. Neat how Jesus can come up when talking about a dress. See Laura,(the giver of the dress) your dress can be a ministry!
What a sweet post! Lina looks adorable!
