Lance suggested a few weeks ago that I go to EWomen's conference and he would watch the girls, so of course my answer was YES! I searched for someone to go with me, but no one could, so I finally decided to go on my own. It turned out kind of nice to be there with just my own thoughts. I did meet some women today from Woodcreek Free Will Baptist in Catoosa. They adopted me for the day and let me eat lunch with them. Thanks ladies. I could go on and on about the awsome music (Mandisa is amazing and so is Jeremy Camp). The speakers were all really good too. I was afraid today would be hard, because I was operating on about 4 or 5 hours sleep, even though Lance tried to let me get more sleep by getting up with Cassidy. But God kept me awake, I never even got sleepy during the conference.
There were lots of points to take home, but my personal "take-away" was hidden in a sentence that one of the event sponsors said while trying to sell his software. It was just God reminding me of a verse that says "Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct you paths." Strange how it wasn't in the great music or amazing speakers, God can speak to us in many ways, its the listening that I have to work on.
Anyway, I am now starting to feel that exhaustion. I hope it makes for a good nights sleep. That peaceful sleep that is so welcomed.
A verse that was shared over and over was Phillipian 4: 4-8. Look it up and lets memorize it if you havn't already. That's my challenge!
I have been prayerfully considering a new blog idea and ask you to pray for my discernment.
And lastly, a praise, we found out today that we don't owe the IRS as much as we thought! Thanks also Stephanie for helping with the girls last night.
